How many terminals are in halo anniversary
Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary features ten terminals scattered throughout the campaign, as well as one final terminal previously available through Halo Waypoint. These terminals are imperative for fans of the Halo lore , as they describe the history of Guilty Spark's work on Installation 04, as well as help better understand the often confusing relationships between the Monitor, the Flood, the Covenant and the UNSC.
These terminals aren't just for the plot enthusiasts, but also for the achievement hunters. These terminals will land you five gamerscore a piece in The Master Chief Collection, plus 30 gamerscore for collecting them all. Those playing Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary for the Xbox will earn themselves 10G for finding the first, 25G for finding five and 50G for finding the whole lot of the terminals.
The first of the ten terminals can be found on The Pillar of Autumn, once you reach Captain Keyes in the front of the ship. This is the terminal and the prompt to view it should appear once you are close. This terminal shows Guilty Spark disabling Installation 04's defensive systems, thus allowing the Pillar of Autumn to land and the story of Combat Evolved to begin. On the second level, Halo, once you enter the cave that is most certainly not a natural formation, you will eventually come to two ramps as pictured below.
Take the left ramp downward. You should see a flashing yellow light on the opposite side of the tunnel as you go down the ramp. This is the terminal, so exit your warthog and go view it. This terminal reveals Guilty Spark's final meeting with the other monitors to distribute the Indexes.
Truth and Reconciliation's terminal can be found aboard the ship, in the room with Shipmaster Lat 'Ravamee, pictured below. After the enemies are dealt with, climb up to the center platform and the terminal will appear, glowing red in plain sight.
This terminal shows Guilty Spark trying to explain the threat of the Flood to an unidentified Covenant semi-sentient construct assigned to the Truth and Reconciliation.
Possible the most iconic Halo level of them all, The Silent Cartographer's terminal can be found in plain sight, much like the previous level's. After reaching the area where you fight the two hunters, pictured below, the terminal can be seen, flashing yellow up against the wall of the structure. The Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary terminals are short videos that are unlocked once you find their locations on the various levels of the game, and feature animations and narrations by Guilty Spark.
The terminals were produced by The Sequence Group, and were written by Industries. The view depicts a screen of a UNSC computer having screen glitches, and Forerunner symbols are seen, and several Forerunner screens flash by, finally opening a view of 7 rings, in which the 4th is highlighted. The display now turns into a Forerunner display showing a map of space around Installation The map now zooms in on the Pillar of Autumn, approaching the installation, while Halo defense systems lock onto the ship and sensors start scanning the ship.
Goes back to the screen of the map of space, now displaying a landing trajectory for the Pillar of Autumn to land. Seen is a large debris field with the Ark farther away, with Guilty Spark heading towards it.
Fade to a different scene. Several armored Forerunners stand in various places in the chamber. Guilty Spark enters the room and flies toward the other monitors. Guilty Spark pauses and faces a Forerunner. Guilty Spark moves on and flies into an adjoining chamber, where he meets Abject Testament. As Guilty Spark Narrates, several views of various Forerunner installations, cities, and ships.
Light fades to show the unknown construct, which appears to made of a column of light in various colors. Now viewing a CCS -class battlecruiser that is close to Installation A Forerunner view screen shows a hand of an Sangheili that is being taken over by the Flood , then pans to see both Guilty Spark, and the Unknown Construct. Guilty Spark now enters a room filled with containment chambers, one of which has a Flood Warrior Form inside.
Guilty Spark enters a small chamber his size and powers down, screen fades black, and the below text is seen:.
All the earth and and trees in the current view is suddenly thrown up into the air, screen then goes to a view in space where we see the lower section of Halo, with lots of debris flying out from the rim heading to the center of Halo. We see a vessel fly by fast into Installation 04 's surface. Now visible is the crash site of the vessel, burning brightly and obviously extremely damaged. Now we see a star chart of the space around installation 04, with waves emanating from it.
Camera focuses on a single containment chamber, with Guilty Spark behind; in the containment chamber is a single, tiny, Flood Spore. We see a birds-eye-view of the ground high in the sky, then we see several computer screens about the Halo, after we now see a room of Forerunners, probably when the plan was being made. We see a view of the clouds and a monitor fly by, then another materialize while Guilty Spark speaks.
We see a field with a mountain in the background, and a strong shadow of a forerunner being cast on the field from off screen, there's a flash, and the shadow is gone. An alien life from is seen being destroyed by the ring, then screen pans to a Flood Carrier Form and the Flood-infested surroundings blown away by the wave to reveal a Forerunner city.
We see the symbol of the Ur-Didact presumably form itself on the screen. We see a close up of Jacob Keyes' face, note that most of what he is saying is struggled and slow. The duplicate vanishes after flying into a cloud, leaving Spark alone. Spark flies into space, amidst a meteorite field over the ring. He observes a nearby nebula. Sentinels are categorizing biological data in a large-scale storage facility. The Librarian is standing at a verdant safari near Mount Kilimanjaro.
Her shadow is visible. The Librarian's symbol appears, and then rapidly disassembles, reforming into the components of Guilty Spark himself. Spark's voice and image is suddenly distorted. The camera's spin becomes erratic. Just as suddenly, he is back to normal. Campaign level : Two Betrayals video-guide The eighth terminal is in the control room at the level's very beginning.
One of the Halo rings is activated. Energy converges at the ring's center as the Forerunner's ultimate weapon fires. The harmonic cascading wave expands across the galaxy. A readout of a life-sustaining world in its path is shown. An amphibian stares into the sky as the Halo effect strikes the planet. The animal is literally reduced to dust. The lethal wave cleanses a Flood-controlled planet of its infestation.
Local Forerunner structures are restored to a pristine state. The hologram dissolves seconds later. A new image is projected - a schematic of a Halo ring. Campaign level : Keyes video-guide The ninth terminal can be found after the player find Keyes absorbed into the Proto-Gravemind. Eliminate nearby Covenant and Flood forces, then search the sunken crevices to the side of the raised platform. The terminal is a red holographic panel, and will be on one the right crevice's wall.
Keyes' memories take him back to the Flood containment facility , as his contingent of Marines battle the Flood. All hell breaks loose in slow-motion; every sound is distorted as though underwater. The Marines open fire at a charging combat form , to little effect. A Marine runs away from a horde of Flood as another is overwhelmed behind him. Keyes is shown, screaming.
Keyes' eyes have opened. He is now part of the Proto-Gravemind. The Keyes standing at attention screams as his arm mutates to that of a Flood combat form. Blood pours out of his stomach. A partially-infected Keyes is shown firing an assault rifle.
Fade through a human city, a desert highway, and Sydney Harbour at night. Keyes' eyes look around in terror. A human combat form flashes by, as Keyes screams again. Jacob imagines his daughter Miranda , as an adult and in her uniform. Miranda slowly fades to black, as Keyes' memories of her are taken from him. Keyes strains in effort. Cut to a swinging ceiling fan, then to a young Catherine Halsey in a nightgown.
Flashes of memory. Keyes is standing in a starship's bridge, taking a walk with Halsey, holding a slip of paper, two Marines in battle dress. Cut to black. Campaign level : The Maw video-guide The tenth terminal in the game can be found in the Cryo Bay's second floor, where Sentinels are fighting a large Flood force. The terminal is a computer screen on the wall, similar to the first terminal.
The screen experiences graphical glitches, then shuts down. Cut to Guilty Spark. John appears with a rocket launcher, combating the Flood. The view zooms away from Spark's underground location, rising to a nighttime forest on the surface of Installation A flash of light appears in the distance as the Pillar of Autumn' s reactors detonate, blinding out the stars above. As the blast engulfs the forest, the Didact's symbol briefly appears.
