Why did mgo shutdown

Probably the worst online gaming community I've ever seen--probably the mos eisley spaceport of online gaming--but somehow that was part of the charm. Why it was shut down, I am not sure. There were glitchers, and I believe the server was hacked at one point. I wish they would've kept it going. There is not much online stealth games like this. Until people started going the CQC glitch, which really never got patched they simply turned off team fire , dead body head shot glitch, people started lagswitching, and eventually they started DDOSing servers.
